How to play Jetlaggle: guess the flight time of the day's route in six tries. After each guess you are told whether the real time is higher or lower, and whether you are close. Land inside the target band and you win.
What you are shown
One real route a day: the origin and destination on a map, the path between them, the aircraft type and the airline.
The aircraft matters. A Boeing 787 and a turboprop, or a helicopter, do not cover a route in the same time, and some routes in the game are flown by each.
Entering a guess
Type the flight time as hours and minutes, HH:MM, for
example 07:45. Hours run from 0 to 23 and minutes
from 00 to 59. You have six guesses.
Reading the hints
Each guess gets an arrow and a colour.
- ↑ means the real flight is longer than your guess: go higher.
- ↓ means the real flight is shorter: go lower.
- Red: your guess is more than 25% away from the real time.
- Yellow: your guess is within 25%.
- Green tick: you have it.
Example
A first guess of 10:00 is low, and more than 25% off.
18:00 is too high, but now within 25%.
16:00 is inside the target band. You win in three.
What counts as a win
For flights of five hours or less, a guess within 5% of the real time wins. For flights longer than five hours, a guess within 15 minutes wins.
So a four-hour flight (240 minutes) accepts anything from 3:48 to 4:12. A fourteen-hour flight accepts 13:45 to 14:15.
One route a day
A new route appears at midnight on your device's clock. The puzzle number counts the days since Jetlaggle #1 on 6 July 2025, so everyone gets the same route on the same date.
Streaks and stats
Every win adds one to your current streak. Losing, leaving a day's game unfinished, or skipping a day resets it to zero. Your best streak, games played, win rate and how many guesses each win took are kept on the stats page. They are stored in this browser only.
Sharing your result
When the game ends, the Share button copies a spoiler-free grid: the puzzle number, your score such as 3/6, and one row of arrow and colour per guess. It never includes the route or the time. On a phone it opens the share sheet instead.
